How to make a Facebook desktop view

In this article, I am going to guide you how to view Facebook desktop version full site on your android device.

When you open Facebook on your mobile device web browser, Facebook redirect automatically to the mobile version. Sometimes you need to access the full Facebook site but you don’t know the method to view the Facebook desktop version full site on android.

Follow the below easy and simple method on your android device.

If you’re talking about the website, then it’s simple. Like any website, check the Desktop site from the options on the top left.

If you have noticed the URL, it starts as m.facebook (m indicating the mobile website). Just delete that m to get the desktop website.

Facebook automatically redirects all mobile web browsers to go to their mobile version. Sometimes I really need to access the actual FULL FACEBOOK SITE because I can’t do everything using the web app or my iPhones native app.

To access the full facebook site:

You just need to load http://www.facebook.com/home.php into your browser.

I recommend you bookmark the link so that you can access it easily (or just remember to add home.php after facebook.com/)

Another way to access the full facebook site:

Go to facebook.com and allow the mobile web app to load. Tap on the three vertical dots on the upper right corner and then tap on “View Desktop Site.”

Once the full site has loaded, avoid tapping on the Facebook logo on the top-left corner and also avoid tapping on YOUR profile name because if you do it will detect that you’re on a mobile browser and direct you to the web app (touch.facebook.com)

On my iPhone, the full site works very fast, just like a normal computer. This should work as well for an Android, Blackberry, Nokia, or Palm Pre phone as well.

If you’re using an iPhone, you can hold the refresh button request a desktop site. This actually work on any site.

But it seems that Facebook has made some changes recently to try and prevent this. I made a short video for you with a workaround to make it work.

NOTE: It’s important that you’re logged out of Facebook before doing this. Otherwise, it won’t work properly.

If you try and do it while logged in, it’ll just refresh the mobile version.

I don’t have an Android device to work with, so I wasn’t able to make a video on that. But I do believe Aditya’s version should help there.

Quick written steps for iPhone if you’re unable to access video:

  1. Make sure you’re logged out of Facebook.
  2. Hold down the refresh button in your browser.
  3. Press the “Request Desktop Site” button.
  4. See the desktop version of Facebook and log in.

Conclusion:

Every advice says only about methods that don’t work in 100% cases (at least for Chrome). For instance, you’ll see some of the business pages (‘account quality’ page) as m.

Facebook.com (without spaces) ever if you switch on ‘desktop mode’ and remove.’ from URL (you’ll be redirected to mobile version).

Solution – browser which can block websites’ trackers (for example, DuckDuckGo) with ‘desktop mode’.

Go to facebook.com and allow the mobile web app to load. Tap on the three vertical dots on the upper right corner and then tap on “View Desktop Site.” On my iPhone the full site works very fast, just like a normal computer. This should work as well for an Android, Blackberry, Nokia or Palm Pre phone as well.

Hope my advice would be helpful for you.
